Lenten Comic

Hi. Been a long time since anyone has added anything here. i have a couple of ideas, but I am not ready to post them yet. I did want to get some more reflection going during Lent, though. Here is a Lenten comic I came across. It is designed to be read one frame per day, but obviously it is too late for that! Any thoughts/reflections you want to share as you read it?

  • As we discussed last night, I really enjoyed this. I feel as though the "humanization" of Jesus is a constant interpolation of two ideas: what it means to be fully human and what it means to be fully self-actualized, or "Kingdom Empowered; Kingdom Centered; Kingdom Driven; Kingdom Citizenized."

Megan and I had a long conversation with Tara last night after group. We talked about "The Golden Key." I felt empowered by it because we were able to communicate abstract ides in ways that felf concrete. The ideas centered around this interpolation.

Anyway, just wanted to enter back into posting. If it is just me, you, and Waken for a while... well then, what the heck.

  • I too love the humanization of Jesus. I also love the aspect of fasting that is brought out in the comic. We notice things in different ways - the birds and the flower. We appreciate those things that we might normally pass by without a second glance. But when we re-focus, particularly during the lenten season, we are able to spend more time.
